XRP Ledger AI Transactions Top One Million as XRP Trades Near $1.11
The XRP Ledger has processed more than one million transactions linked to AI agents. Meanwhile, XRP traded near $1.11, with a market value of about $69.16 billion. The activity confirms that developers are testing agent-based payments, but the transaction data does not show how many payments used XRP or RLUSD.
AI Agents Complete One Million XRPL Transactions
XRPL AI Hub has indexed more than one million agent transactions on the XRP Ledger mainnet. These transactions allow AI agents to request services, receive prices, and complete payments without direct human approval.
Ripple introduced its XRPL AI Starter Kit in June to help developers create these systems. The package includes wallet tools, payment functions, XRP Ledger documentation, and support for the x402 payment protocol.
The system allows AI agents to pay for API access, model processing, and other digital services using XRP or Ripple USD, known as RLUSD. Ripple described the development by stating:
“AI agents are no longer a future state.”
XRP and RLUSD Share of Agent Payments Remains Unknown
Around $1.04 billion worth of XRP changed hands over 24 hours, while the token remained below its January 2018 record price of $3.84. The AI transaction milestone and XRP’s market decline occurred during the same period. XRPL AI Hub measures agent activity on the ledger, while CoinMarketCap separately tracks XRP’s price, market value, and trading volume.
Agent payments can use either XRP or RLUSD. Ripple’s starter kit supports both assets, so the published transaction count includes no breakdown showing how many payments were settled with each one.
XRPL SourceTag Enables Agent Transaction Tracking
The XRP Ledger’s agent wallet tools add a standard SourceTag to transactions completed through the AI Starter Kit. Developers and analysts can use that tag to separate agent activity from other transactions recorded on the ledger.
The tracking system also supports transaction memos and real-time monitoring through the XRP Ledger’s WebSocket API. These tools allow developers to audit agent spending, follow activity from specific accounts, and respond to unusual transactions.
The public data does not provide the total value transferred, the number of unique agents, or a full split between XRP and RLUSD payments. XRPL AI Hub currently reports the combined number of indexed agent transactions.
