MoonPay Buys Glide to Expand Crypto Deposits
MoonPay has acquired crypto deposits startup Glide in an all-equity transaction, adding cross-chain routing technology that lets applications accept funds from different tokens, wallets, exchanges and payment cards.
The deal has closed, but neither company disclosed its value. Glide’s four-person team and more than 50 business customers will move to MoonPay, with its technology becoming part of MoonPay Deposits.
Glide Routes $100M Across 30-Plus Networks
Glide supports more than 100 tokens across over 30 blockchain networks and processes more than $100 million in annualized transaction volume. Its system selects between an instant relayer and bridge-and-swap routes to find a faster or lower-cost path between a funding source and destination application.
Glide reduces the bridge, swap and gas steps that often slow wallet funding. A user holding the wrong token or funds on another network would otherwise need to find a bridge, complete a swap and obtain gas before depositing.
Glide receives deposits through self-custodial escrow smart contracts that keep transactions verifiable on-chain.
Wallet in Telegram and Moonshot Use Deposits
MoonPay Deposits is already used by applications including Wallet in Telegram, Moonshot and Paysafe. Existing Glide customers are expected to continue receiving service without disruption during the integration.
Glide was founded in 2023 by Tushar Soni and Qinyu Tong, who previously worked on Robinhood’s crypto wallet. The Y Combinator-backed company first focused on wallet infrastructure before shifting to unified deposit flows after seeing users struggle to fund consumer crypto applications.
Glide’s 4-Person Team Will Join MoonPay
The founders and Glide’s other two employees will join MoonPay. The combined offering will connect Glide’s routing layer with MoonPay products covering fiat ramps, virtual accounts and token swaps.
MoonPay has not provided a timetable for completing the technical integration. Its next step is transferring Glide’s customers and routing technology into MoonPay Deposits while maintaining current service.
Deal Marks MoonPay’s Sixth 2026 Acquisition
The transaction is MoonPay’s sixth acquisition announcement of 2026. Earlier deals added key management through Sodot, trading infrastructure through Decent and DFlow, accounting automation through Entendre and AI-based trading tools through Dawn Labs.
MoonPay has been expanding beyond its original fiat-to-crypto payment business into infrastructure for institutions and consumer applications. Glide adds the deposit layer for moving existing crypto into apps before trading, paying or accessing other services.
