Joe Lubin, CEO of blockchain and cryptocurrency conference ConseSys and co-founder of Ethereum, recently spoke in an interview and gave an interesting piece of insight into the industry.
“We are going to be more in control of our identity and agency on these different decentralized networks. I think that will create more wealth, and interest in expressing ourselves.” A short clip from the International Luxury Conference hosted by @nytimes. https://t.co/HXXiBCVY9v

Speaking with New York Times at the NYT’s International Luxury Conference at the Intercontinental Hotel in Hong Kong, Lubin commented saying that “we’re moving from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset” and that that is “going to create more wealth” which will generate “more interest in expressing ourselves, and [he thinks] there will be more appetite for luxury than less.”
These remarks came following comments that Lubin made in another interview, whereby the ConsenSys CEO said that blockchain projects will allow users to build more things that will become useful. He likened the nature of blockchain to the internet but said that blockchain “will probably take a little longer because it is much more complicated” as well as because it is dealing with a concept of finance and digital tender. Lubin continued:
“Blockchain will permeate society more than the Internet. Everything will be networked in a Web3.”
