Blockchain conference The Crypto Fest, hosted by Bitcoin Events, will be taking place at Shimmy Beach Club in Cape Town on the first weekend of August.
As announced earlier this week, the conference will play host to a number of big names from the industry in South Africa in order to showcase how the innovative technology can be a game-changer in the digital field.

AltCoinTrader founder Richard de Sousa will be taking the stage as the keynote speaker, setting the conference up with a discussion titled ‘Trends and Overview of the Crypto Landscape‘. The conference will also be hosting heavyweight names such as tech guru Simon Dingle, executive director of Binance Blockchain Charity Foundation Athena Yu, founder and executive director at BitGive Foundation Connie Gallippi, and Valyr CEO Farzam Ehsani.
The event promises to offer insight about the blockchain, commentary on Libra, how Bitcoin can be utilised and a platform of insightful discussion and debate.
