Bitcoin has broken the $6000 mark, and the market is showing a mixed rally as a result.
Using data from Coin360, we can see that Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum are in the green, while Ripple, EOS, and Tron are in the red.
Looking at Bitcoin over the past week, we can see that the token was holding between $5700 and $5800 last weekend before dipping slightly to see a weekly low of $5645.47. Now, the token has broken through the $6000 barrier for the first time since November last year. Currently, Bitcoin price is sitting at $6299.31.
Unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum has not reached its peak since November this week. Although the token has gained 0.9% in day-on-day trading, it is not sitting at the $180 mark it saw on Tuesday. The lowest Ethereum price has seen this week is $159.70 with a high of $180.39. Currently, Ethereum is valued at $172.98.
Litecoin price has followed a similar, albeit not so extreme, trend of Ethereum. The Bitcoin-hard fork has gained 2.15% in day-on-day trading to hit $76.08. Over the week, Litecoin has faced a low point of $72.33 contrasted by its seven-day-high of $82.02.
While Bitcoin and Ethereum are gaining values, Ripple’s XRP is currently showing red. With a 0.29% decrease in day-on-day trading, Ripple is sitting close to its 7 day low of $0.294114. Currently, the token is valued at $0.299397.
